Gua Sha

A therapeutic technique that involves scraping the skin with a smooth-edged instrument, such as a spoon or a specialized gua sha tool, to create light bruising or redness known as sha. This promotes blood circulation, release stagnation, and encourage the body's healing response.

Gua sha is often used to address various conditions such as muscle tension, pain, and inflammation. It is thought to help remove toxins, stimulate the immune system, and restore balance in traditional Chinese medicine.

Cupping

In this therapeutical technique where special cups are applied to the skin to create a suction effect. It is believed to stimulate blood flow, release muscle tension, and promote healing.

By creating a vacuum, cupping is thought to help alleviate pain, improve circulation, and facilitate the floe of energy, known as Qi (“Chee”), in traditional medicine. The cups are typically left in place for several minutes or moved across the skin.

Auricular acupuncture (NADA)

The National Acupuncture Detoxification Association developed a protocol used to help with Substance abuse, mental health issues, and Emotional Imbalances.

Moxibustion

A traditional therapeutic technique that involves burning a dried herb called moxa, derived from the mugwort plant (Artemisia vulgaris), near specific acupuncture points or areas of the body. The heat generated by moxibustion is believed to stimulate and warm the body's energy, known as "qi," and promote the flow of energy and blood. This technique is often used to treat conditions related to cold and dampness, improve circulation, and strengthen the body's resilience.
